A Pennsylvania nursing home is under fire after a video surfaced of three of its employees physically abusing a resident of the home. The family of the resident who was abused is planningĀ to fileĀ a lawsuit against the home over the incident.
The daughter of the 78-year-old resident of the home stated that her mother had spoken of the abuse but that the home denied any abuse and attributed the accusations to the woman’s dementia. However, the video that surfaced clearly showed three employees of the home severely beating the woman.
The three employees were fired and the nursing home lost its operating license. However, the home is seeking an appeal and will continue to operate during the appeal process.
