A nursing home is accuse of neglect and misrepresentation after a woman’s 80 year-old mother suffered from dehydration, infection, and malnutrition while in the facility’s care.
The woman suffered a broken hip from a fall while in at-home care and her daughter claims that while her mother was under the nursing home’s care, she did not receive appropriate monitoring, assessment, and wound care for her injury as well as food and hydration. She is suing both the at-home nursing company and the nursing home for compensation due to their negligence, reckless negligence, elderly abuse, and fraud.
The daughter claims health care workers acted negligently when they left her mother unattended, knowing she suffers from dementia and has a higher risk for falling.
