A woman received about $3 million in a medical malpractice settlement. According to court reports from Horry County, the lawsuit involved a woman who had died from an infection.
The woman apparently had been diagnosed with a kidney stone. The woman, however, was not treated immediately. In the time between her diagnosis and the scheduled treatment, the woman died from an infection caused by the kidney stones.
